Been up late, came across a few snags, but I pressed on. I decided to sew up the stripes instead of using fabric paint. I figured it would look cleaner. Well, I killed the sewing machine and didn't want to wake my mom up to figure out how I broke it, so I went back to the original plan and used paint. I painted the front side minus the star, and its coming across nicely. Its creating this grungy dirty color scheme that I am really digging. I also have the boots done, with the same grungy realism that I am going for. The mask was going to be made with a shirt that I was going to sew up, but the machine was killed, so I went to Wallymart and found a dark blue headband and long beanie cap that matched the shirt. I will cut it up in the morning, but it pretty much covers all of my neck and face. sweet!
I haven't figured out how I am doing the shield, though. I may use a reinforced bass drum head off of an old drum kit I have, or goto the store and get a trashcan lid. Oh well...
