Simon Coffman is a lesson teacher and musician in the Houston, TX area.

He currently attends the University of Houston, Moores School of Music and studies tuba with Mr. Mark Barton. During his continuing studies, he has performed in various large ensembles at UH, such as the Wind Ensemble, Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band, and the Cougar Brass. Along with involvement in large ensembles at UH, Mr. Coffman has also involved himself in various chamber ensembles, such as tuba/euphonium quartets and brass quintets.

Currently, he is the tubist of the Texas Medical Center Orchestra, and has been since 2009. Mr. Coffman teaches lesson in and around the Houston area at various middle and high schools.

Mr. Coffman is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. In 2009, he attended the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Convention and was involved in Sinfonia Winds, a Wind Ensemble composed of Sinfonians across the nation. In this ensemble, he was part of the premiering of Frank Ticheli's "Amen!" for Wind Ensemble.
